Edward Coons Massage Therapy 

 

 

I provide therapeutic massage in Durango, Colorado. I  returned to the Durango area in 2013 after practicing in Austin, Texas, where I provided bodywork for thousands of individuals with wide-ranging needs. My office is located in proximity to downtown Durango next to the Powerhouse by the Animas River.

My specialized bodywork style is deeply rooted in Asian, Sports and Deep Tissue methods. I utilize a variety of proven techniques to address individuals' needs based on clients' history, present situation, performance objectives and more focused assessment. My goal is to achieve structural balance, facilitate self-healing, reduce stress and tension, build self-awareness, provide health education and guidance, and even offer qualified and appropriate referral as needed. 

 

My background is rich in health care having been a medic in the Army National Guard for most of my 12 years of service. I also bring to bear in-depth knowledge from my years of health science studies and continuing education. Adding to my perspective on healing were both my dad, a physician, and my mom, a nurse, to whom I also attribute my passion for the work.
